It’s easy being green! The PADI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver course is PADI’s most popular specialty scuba diving course, and it’s easy to see why. Scuba diving with enriched air nitrox gives you more ‘no decompression’ dive time. This means more time underwater, especially on repetitive scuba dives where you’ll have less required surface time with nitrox.
Now a non-diving specialty, the course consists only of academics. However, for an additional $90, you have the option of adding 2 open ocean dives to your course enabling you get practical experience using nitrox. The class will teach you important enriched air techniques, equipment considerations, and enriched air-specific considerations like managing oxygen exposure, analyzing your tank, and how to set your dive computer.
